Barangay San Nicolas
BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY SAN NICOLAS
One of the Barangays comprising the Poblacion, it was declared as a Barangay in 1898 and named in honor of Don Nicolas Rigor Encarnacion a former Gobernadorcillio of the town.
Also one of the smallest (in terms of land area with only 64.01 hectares) but active Barangays engaged in businesses, Barangay San Nicolas maintains its growth in terms of industry and entrepreneurship. The population of the Barangay reached up to 2,854 individuals or 634 households.

General source of income among households is generally generated from seasonal wages (121 household heads), regular salaries (93 household heads), some ninety six households engaged in farming activities and other self-sustaining part-time jobs.
On employment, there are 321 self-employed household heads, at least 41 regular employees and some 23 unemployed household heads.
